News

Dear Drinker.

I apologise for the delay in sending you my newsletter. I have been very busy in the summer holidaying in Spain, Skegness and Brighton.

As most of you are aware, my resident DJ, Liam Frisco, got married to the beautiful Teresa, which was an event to remember.  In particular Liam’s slurred speech! Those two fans out there will be pleased to know he is now back on the decks every Friday night!

Rash our resident drifter (aka Bar Manager) has also been away but don’t worry ladies he was not on honeymoon. He has been on a holy quest looking for and drinking antique wine on the southern coast of England. He had come back with a new wine list but no one could pronounce the labels so that idea was shelved. However, we did have an evening of wine tasting which led into the early hours of the morning comparing our existing wines;” the conclusion” go home when your girlfriend calls you at 11.30pm!

Those of you who are quite attentive would have noticed the cuckoo clock above the bar not working. This is down to the cuckoo refusing to come out on the hour due to the serious bad dance music being played. This problem has now been rectified and we have installed up to date play lists and given clear instructions to our resident DJs to stay way from this kind of torture and let the Cuckoo resume its duties.

Big’ up to Leon for winning the Appleton VX National Competition in Manchester recently. He received £1000 plus all the Appleton’s product range.Leon is looking for some lovely lady to share his prizes with. He works most nights! (07872901286).

A special thanks to all the smokers for complying with the smoking ban rules. We have not had one incident with a smoker as yet except with some well known Leeds guy smoking a joint but he was firmly ejected and banned for two months.

Look out for the new Chandeliers coming soon to the Bar and the new space age toilets.

The Head Chef Shaun extends his gratitude for all the compliments received regarding the food in particular all the daily specials. Keep checking out all the new dishes.

Enjoy the rest of the autumn and thank you for coming to see me and keep visiting.
